Bluetail Medical Group is a nationally recognized leader in regenerative cellular therapies. Our patients come to us seeking an alternative to joint replacement surgery. Our office in the Chesterfield Valley is looking for an experienced medical assistant with a strong administrative background and the ability to work well within a team.

The position will require same-day travel to and from our satellite clinic locations.

Experience with Athena EMR, work comp, phlebotomy, or orthopedics is a plus!

Direct Responsibilities:

Ensure entries into medical record are accurate and complete.

Properly dispose of medical waste.

Obey all infection protocols.

Perform Muscular Skeletal PE

Communicate all material patient information to physician.

Prepare sterile trays and injections.

Perform under supervision of physician.

Perform PRP Facials

Seminar/ Event Coordination for new patient recruitment

Measure patient vital signs.

Stock medical supplies in rooms and storage areas.

Operate centrifuge and all medical equipment as trained.

Administer patient registration for therapy or follow-up appointments.

Monitor physician clinical inbox.

Perform 8 week follow up calls.

Manage Physicians Personal Schedule

Make Social Media Updates

Instruct patient for use of pain medication, braces, wraps, or vitamins as directed by physician.

Assist physicians in exam room during procedures.

Attend marketing events, seminars, and conventions to represent the physician or Bluetail Medical Group.

Administer concussion tests with patients.

Call patients with lab or study results.

Prepare charts in advance of appointments (when needed)

Enter billing codes for medical procedures in EMR following visits ( when needed)

Participate in community outreach, media interviews, and education of prospective patients.

Complete continuing education requirements to maintain licensing.

Help physician establish network of referral sources.

Travel to remote office's weekly.

Provide patients with pre-treatment or discharge instructions.

Assist new employees and hold peers accountable.

Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and all regulatory requirements.

Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in handbook.

Report all unusual or unsafe conditions to supervisor.

Perform any reasonable tasks assigned by supervisor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
