Salary: $10.93 - $13.99 per hour
Hours: 10 - 40 hours per week
Part Time Non-Benefited
Under general supervision lifeguards ensure the safety of participants. They respond to all emergency situations in the water; administers any first aid needed by pool patrons; assists in maintaining a clean and safe aquatic environment and understand and enforce all rules and regulations of the facility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying):
Ability to work well under general supervision and are reliable.
Demonstrate competency in performing swimming skills.
Communicate well verbally.
Enjoy working with children.
Be physically able to meet all demands of guard position.
Able to successfully complete swimming and rescue examinations as specified by the Aquatics Supervisor.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One to two years of previous lifeguard experience.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION
Current lifeguard certification through the American Red Cross, or ability to obtain upon hire.
CPR/AED for the professional rescuer certification through the American Red Cross.
Standard First Aid.

Applicants who are offered an appointment are required to pass a comprehensive background investigation, drug screening test and driver license check.
