Role Summary:

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Electronics Engineer in Houston, TX.

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for Semiconductor design and engineering; designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. They determines design approaches and parameters; analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests & evaluate results. Common skill sets include Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, HMOS/MOS/CMOS, PLL, ADC, DAC etc.
• Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
• Communicates across direct organization. Presents to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy.
• Connects the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions; works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business. Communicates across the function in area of expertise

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Engineering/Technology). Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Electronic Hardware.
• Strong background in hardware design
• Analog and mixed signal processing electronics
• Power electronics: power converters, motor control (DC and synchronous)
• Experience with EDA software (Altium Designer preferred)
• Experience with SPICE circuit simulation and familiarity with SPICE syntax
• Hands-on and automation experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, signal generators, high-speed digitizers, multimeters
• Experience with testing/experiment automation programming (LabVIEW or Python preferred)

Desired Characteristics

• Background or familiarity in the oil and gas industry.
• Background or familiarity with reliability testing and qualification
• Background or familiarity with high-temperature environmental testing
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and certifications such as AWES, API
