Intake Staff initially interviews guests to gather all the information required to document and advise about services available and needed; assigns a bed. Information must be entered into a computer system so the case manager or necessary department can access the information and provide follow-up services to guest. Work with staff and guests to maintain a safe and supervised shelter environment, facilitates the efficient and effective operation of the shelter during assigned shift.

High School diploma or GED and 6 months to one year experience working in the Human Services Field, such as working with low income and homeless populations, chemical dependency and/or mental health programs sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to use computer software applications and general office equipment.
