As an Insurance/Financial Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting patients with the processing of dental insurance claims and management of relationships with insurance carriers. The Insurance/Financial Coordinator contacts insurance companies and patients regarding coverage determinations and outstanding balances. You will research and resolve insurance billing issues. The Insurance/Financial Coordinator will set up any financial arrangements and collects payments from patients and insurance companies and manages outstanding insurance claims. This role will work with the Office Manager to ensure the office complies with established collection procedures.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with insurance or claims processing
- Proficient or the ability to become proficient within 90 days in dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.
- Leadership and multitasking abilities
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- High level of customer service skills
- Superior attention to detail
Patient Care Hours:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
