Inspector

Nidec Press & Automation is currently seeking an Inspector for our Minster, Ohio location. Inspectors for Nidec Minster will work in an engineered to order "job shop" environment where our products are made one at a time requiring many set ups and holding close tolerances. There is no high-volume production work at Nidec Minster. Technical abilities such as high-level shop math, print reading, use of micrometers, indicators, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

• Interpret and understand routing and complete SAP transactions
• Clearly identify the non-conforming parts and create Q-Note describing the problem
• Provide written and verbal communication (completing forms, discuss inspection results, & show road map to fix issues)
• Participates in company training programs to keep job knowledge up-to-date
• Inspection of cell products, material movement associated with the cell
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area

Qualifications:

• Specialized training such as a JVS or tech school a plus
• Advance knowledge of blueprint reading and specification
• Requires a good understanding of geometry - Trigonometry proficiency is a plus
• A manufacturing background in a "job shop" environment preferred; Machinist experience is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Requires attention to detail and problem solving.
