Location: Winsted, CT

Shift: 1st (7am-3pm), 2nd (3pm - 11pm)

In Winsted CT, we have great career building opportunities for the very important role of**Eddy Current Inspectors.**The Shifts that this positionis open for are:1st Shift (7am-3pm), 2nd Shift (3pm - 11pm).

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve & maintain Level II certification per Q2607D.
  • Clean product for inspection per specification.
  • Inspect product to specified work instructions.
  • Assure applicable inspection equipment is in calibration before use.
  • Assure masters are in calibration and visually conforming.
  • Maintain test equipment, accessories and standards.
  • Visually inspect product per work instructions.
  • Maintain cleanliness & orderliness of inspection stations and assure no balls remain from previous inspections.
  • Report set-up and inspection results clearly and accurately.
  • Identify & segregate suspect or nonconforming product and initiate Discrepancy Reports when required.
  • Comply with stamp control procedures.
  • Contact QA or supervision to report equipment problems or suspect process results.
  • Assure lot & sample traceability.
  • Plot results on control charts when required.
  • Read new and revised specifications when mandated.
  • Provide training and assist in preparing work instructions.
  • Cover for vacations as a visual inspector needed.

Requirements:

  • Varied postures – sitting, standing, leaning forward, turning side to side, reaching up.
  • Transports product from one area to another.
  • Use of Hand Carts – pushing, pulling, raising.
  • Sitting for 1-4 hours a day.
  • Standing for 4-8 hours a day.
  • walking, pushing, carrying or lifting up to max. 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing process.
  • Level II Certification (Desired).
