What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace.

The essence of this role is to:

  • Work with the People team and Production team to support establishment of Scout's Production Facility in Blythewood, SC.
  • In collaboration with the Director, People Operations and colleagues in Finance, Legal, IT and Administration, develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support the company's strategic objectives.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of HR issues, including employee relations, performance management, and recruitment.
  • Ensure that the company's employment practices are compliant with relevant legislation.
  • Work with colleagues on the People team to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Support the recruitment and selection process for the production facility, including job analysis, job postings, candidate screening, and interviews.
  • Work with the People team to deliver training and development programs that support the development of employees across production.
  • Effectively manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution.
  • Seek to provide an inclusive and productive work environment for all employees.

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. Applicants should be based in South Carolina and able to convene in person and be able to travel to participate in events on behalf of the company. This role will eventually be located in the recently announced production facility in Blythewood, SC.


What you’ll bring
  • At least 8 years of professional experience with at least 5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner role within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Knowledge of US employment law, health and safety regulations, and equal opportunity legislation.
  • Experience of working with senior management to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with managers and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Experience of managing employee relations issues, including conflict resolution.
  • Experience of delivering training and development programs to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and collaborative approach to work.
