A non-profit Agency dedicated to helping those individuals in need and improving the quality of life to individuals and families residing in central New Jersey seeks a dynamic, community-driven leader with experience and a proven track record developing affordable housing opportunities for low and moderate income individuals and families.

Responsibilities of the Housing Director:

• Provide leadership and carry out strategic directions for the agency’s affordable housing plan
• Develop affordable housing for low and moderate income individuals and families
• Create and coordinate project development teams
• Provide fiscal oversight of housing development projects
• Maintain effective relationships with funding sources, identify new funding resources
• Work collaboratively with community partners to prevent homelessness and carry out agency’s Mission
• Provide oversight of projects at various housing units and buildings
• Work closely with facilities management team to manage projects through completion stage
• Provide supervision of Property Manager who oversees daily operations of affordable apartments in Middlesex and Warren Counties.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of housing policies and funding resources at the State and Federal levels
• Strong communication, writing, financial management and organizational skills
• Demonstrates ability to exercise good judgment

• Management experience.
