Lake Regional Health System is looking for an energetic, dedicated Housekeeper to join our clinic. With our state-of-the-art hospital and network of clinics, therapy sites, and pharmacies, Lake Regional offers a wide range of employment opportunities in our community.

The housekeeper performs miscellaneous custodial duties in the care and cleaning of various patient, public, and ancillary areas. Housekeeping equipment, materials, methods, and procedures are used in maintaining cleanliness and disinfection, and follow standard precautions for body fluid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.
• Dust all horizontal surfaces.
• Empties and sanitizes waste receptacles.
• Damp wipes and sanitizes furniture.
• Dry and wet mops hard surface floors; vacuums and spot clean carpeted floors.
• Replenish all supplies.
• Cleans and polishes all porcelain and metal fixtures in bathrooms, kitchens, and utility rooms.
• Spot clean the walls.
• Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Follows departmental policies to maintain the standard and consistent appearance throughout the facility.

Qualifications:

• A person working in this classification will need to be able to lift and carry set-down objects of moderate weight on a daily basis.
• Needs to be able to bend and grasp broom and mop handles.
• Workaround cleaning chemicals and dust.
• Climb stairs, step stools, and ladders on a daily basis.
• Physical strength, coordination, and stamina are sufficient to perform assigned duties.
• Annual influenza vaccine and COVID vaccine are required.
