Welcome to Horizon Specialties. We are a food broker specializing in gourmet cheeses, deli meats and bakery goodies that consumers love. We have an opportunity for a Full-Time Perishable Merchandiser/ Field Sales Representative to serve Retail Grocery store locations in San Jose area to include Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Salinas, Hollister and the Santa Cruz /Monterey Bay peninsula.

Your role will be to place authorized items in the Grocery stores you serve, checking displays and merchandise for eye appeal and freshness, and helping stores order the items customers want. This is an opportunity to use your creativity, knowledge of the grocery business, and friendly personality.

To qualify, you must have:

• Deli and Grocery Retail experience is a plus but not required
• Reliable transportation, valid State Driver’s License, an acceptable DMV driving record and maintain a current automobile insurance
• Required to visit multiple stores daily/weekly in a geographical area
• Must be able to walk, bend, climb, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more, with some work required above the shoulders
• Stock department area (shelves, bins, coolers, freezers), rotating to ensure freshness
• Self-starter organized and dependable, Able to work independently
• Good communication skills. You will be interacting with store management and employees
• Computer proficient, operate electronic tablet

Pay: $44,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
