Job description
Your Role: This position monitors and maintains all Freon refrigeration and fire protection equipment, Freon and fire alarms used, works directly with Safety and other management teams to develop/ maintain company process safety management and risk management guidelines.
Monitor and maintain the glycol and electrical under floor heating systems, all fire and Freon alarms, and monitors electrical usage of the refrigeration system to maximize savings.- Does a daily, monthly, and yearly inspection on the equipment.
- Repairs or replaces gauges, valves and other various parts as needed.
- Works with Safety and management to develop an emergency shutdowns and evacuations that all employees know the procedures
- Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.
Role Specifics:
- Schedule – 3x12 weekend / days Ability to work flexible hours (weekend, late hours, and on-call) based upon facility needs.
- Travel – Occasional overnight travel to other company facilities or outside facilities for training. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
- Environment – Indoor and outdoor work; exposure to chemicals. Work in situations where human error could result in serious financial loss or personal injury.
Qualifications:
We Need You To Have:
- High school diploma or general equivalency degree
- Good physical condition and agility access all areas of facility
- Safety oriented, knowledge of hot work, confined space, and fall prevention.
- Universal 608 Certification
- Sufficient vision and hearing to operate equipment safely
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Continual emergency response training
- Excellent working knowledge of 120V-480V 3-phase
- Experience in Freon refrigeration experience.
- Wage Range: $23.06 – 34.59 per hour
