FOOD & BEVERAGE DIRECTOR:

Overview:

Join our top-notch professional team at Oaks on the River Luxury Boutique Resort located on the Darien, Georgia river bluff. Become a key member of our team that is building a local, national, and international high-end brand destination resort on the Georgia coast.

The Food and Beverage Director will operate all restaurants, bars, conference facilities, catering, on and off premises. This includes but is not limited to, providing excellent service and support to our members and staff, working across all levels and departments in the organization, developing and implementing new business strategies. As Food and Beverage Director will be responsible for ensuring that service, food, and drinks are of the highest quality. As Food and Beverage Director, you will be responsible for assisting customers, answering social media postings, creating and implementation of SOPs for the department, and complying with all safety regulations. As Food and Beverage Director you will be responsible for all reports associated with your department. You will be responsible on a yearly basis for providing the necessary CAPEX needed for a successful, functioning resort hotel.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist and coordinate with Executive Chef for design, planning and pricing of menus.

· Completion of weekly schedules and ensuring restaurant and bar are staffed properly for every shift.

· Follow and train staff on food and safety regulations.

· Responsible for food and beverage forecasting, inventory and budgets for restaurant and bar.

· Responsible for food and beverage ordering based on inventory levels and supply needs.

· Assisting and coordinating with the Sales and Marketing Director and Executive Chef for all hotel events and catering.

· Ensure that customers receive an excellent dining and resort experience.

· Strong management, communication, and leadership skills.

· Ability to communicate with all levels of the staff.

· In-depth experience, knowledge and understanding of the food and beverage industry.

· Develop a rapport with customers and guests.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to delegate tasks and follow through.

· Assist with marketing events.

· Create and train staff on restaurant and bar procedures and policies.

· Recruitment, training and management of staff for restaurants and bars.

· Customer-oriented mind set.

· Responsible for food and beverage reports to management.

Qualifications for Food and Beverage Director:

· 5+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry, including staff management. Hotel and/or resort experience a plus.

· Degree in hospitality, business, or a related field preferred, but not required.

· The ability to motivate and lead a successful team.

· Must have initiative, drive, creativity, and enthusiasm.

· Excellent communication skills and a well-rounded sense of the hospitality industry.

· Outstanding planning and organizational skills.

· The ability to maintain composure under pressure.

· Capable of developing strategy tactics, sales plans, and profit targets.

· Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets.

· Representing the Hotel at conferences, trade fairs and networking events.

· Excellent IT, budget and reporting skills and ability to meet deadlines.

· Comply with all company policies and procedures.
