Description of Position

The College of Science and Health Professions at Northeastern State University is seeking a part-time mathematics faculty member to teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses. Courses include remedial Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Functions and Change, Applied Mathematics, Contextual College Algebra or Calculus. Specific courses to be determined by need and area of specialty.

Master’s degree in appropriate discipline required to teach undergraduate courses. Doctorate required to teach graduate level courses.

The College of Science and Health Professions currently has 76 full time and 18 part-time faculty members in three academic departments: the Department of Natural Science, the Department of Health Professions, and the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. The College serves approximately 1,730 undergraduate majors in 19 different degree programs with specific areas of specialization in Organismic Cell and Molecular Biology, Fish and Wildlife, Integrative Chemistry, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Science Education (Biology, Chemistry and Earth Space Science), Nutritional Sciences, Speech Language Pathology, Nursing (RN BSN & MSN-Education), and Medical Laboratory Science (BS and MLT MLS).
