RYE Venue Management manages 4 wedding and event spaces in West Michigan and is looking for a highly energetic, detail focused, wedding/event lover to join the team. This position prepares the venues for upcoming events and will be on site the day of the event to ensure clients who are hosting an event have everything they need. This position gives anyone, seasoned or interested, in the events industry an opportunity to see oversee events first hand. Hours will vary but are primarily Thursday-Sunday. The perfect position for anyone looking for a fun, fast paced, and highly rewarding environment to work in.

Event Responsibilities:

  • Setting up venues for events, including chairs and building stages.
  • Ensuring that seating arrangements adhere to floor chart.
  • Working with clients and vendors to ensure venues are providing all items necessary to execute event.
  • Ensuring the event hall is clean and organized.
  • Adhering to event safety standards.
  • Ensuring excellent levels of customer service.
  • Overseeing/training of part time staff.
  • Welcoming clients, guests, and vendors.
  • Being able to provide useful information to event-goers.
  • Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list.
  • Packing up equipment when the event is completed.
