Green Ivy Educational Consultingis a social enterprise organization committed to expanding equitable opportunities that empower every student to develop their own road map for success.

We are known internationally for our work on executive functioning skills - organization, time-management, prioritization, adaptable thinking. Over the past twenty three years, our small office has changed thousands of lives and is aiming to build out our curriculum and online programming to expand our reach. Our work directly supports our non-profit initiative, Luminaria Learning, designing a three year curriculum to bring our work into schools across the country. Luminaria's Life Navigator School Program recently completed its third year of a pilot program serving 1200 middle school students, with plans to scale and expand.

We are looking for an amazing individual to join our team, and work directly with students full time (35-40 hours/week) part-time (15-20 hours/week). It will be based out of our office in downtown Los Altos, near Stanford University. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys direct work with students, as well as the opportunity to focus on instructional design and content creation, building out elements of our curriculum to help us implement our Life Navigator work in schools.

Our office is located in downtown Los Altos, a few miles from Stanford University, and our work has been featured in the NYTimes, Washington Post, CNBC, Chicago Tribune, ABC News, USA Today, NPR, and others. Our direct work with students combines coaching and mentoring around executive functioning, organization and time-management, social media wellness, and community engagement. Our work improves self-confidence, encourages life-long learning and engagement, and supports overall well-being.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience providing academic support to middle school or high school students in one or more areas related to learning, such as peer tutoring programs, student development, counseling, teaching, reading and study skills, learning difficulties/disorders/disabilities, advising, and academic coaching education and relevant experience required.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with students on a weekly/twice weekly basis and help students develop executive functioning, study skills and time-management skills, and learn the background for our curriculum
• Offer sincere positive reinforcement and encouragement while expecting results

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Commitment to creating pathways for opportunity and access for all students
• Excellent interpersonal skills to identify students’ academic needs, make recommendations, follow-up and clearly and effectively communicate information
• Genuine interest in making a difference and in supporting sustainable growth and scale
• Excellent organization and time management skills, experience with Adobe, Canva, LMS systems and/or a willingness to learn
• Outstanding oral and written communication and problem solving skills
• Program management abilities, including pitching ideas, coming up with a plan, coordinating logistics, evaluation and assessment
• Personable, warm and approachable personality, with a solutions-oriented perspective
• Active, sense of humor, collaborative team player

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
