Ability to work on site currently hybrid 2days/week in one of our Virginia Offices if/when COVID-19 conditions permit (NOVA, RVA, VA BEACH)

Job Description:
The Data Associates supports management of information in New Virginia Majority digital systems, including integration and tracking of data between our political field work, community organizing, digital, and donor programs. The Data Associate also supports the organization by using data to inform the collective strategic planning process and preparing documents and reports.
Responsibilities:
- Improve use of existing applications and data integration. Example projects: and dashboards to facilitate the work of targets from social and email programs for organizing both online and offline
- Strengthen the use of data and technology throughout the organizing department, through engagement, analytics, and reporting
- Support data-drive approach to digital outreach and advocacy
- Support security and integrity of the organization’s data assets
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Committed to New Virginia Majority’s mission;
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in providing data support in electoral work, organizing or advocacy work
- Experience with technology tools used for organizing, fundraising data, and electoral data. (e,g, Nationbuilder, CRMs, various advocacy tools, P2P software, VAN,etc.)
- Knowledge of best practices for data management
Reports To: Digital Director Aruna Jain
Compensation: Compensation is $44,000-$50,000, commensurate with experience.
