Position Summary
The primary role of the Digital Content Developer is to create world-class training solutions for our organization that align with our culture, values, and commitment to training. The role requires experience and refined technical skills in eLearning development, visual design, instructional design, content layout, and audio/video creation. Will support multiple areas of our business including Retail, Corporate, Manufacturing, Guest Services and Logistics.
Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Design and develop dynamic resources that support L&D initiatives
  • Develop training programs or methods of training, prepare updates to current programs and revise instructional material documents
  • Design instructional content and delivery methods that connect with different levels and types of learners that are in accordance with adult learning theory and principles
  • Develop training materials such as participant and facilitator guides, course resources and digital assets
  • Design and develop materials for all modalities including but not limited to virtual classroom environment, in-person instructor-led classes and online self-paced learning
  • Design and develop engaging, interactive online training solutions for products, processes, systems and leadership development
  • Create assets and learning modules to support classroom training using Articulate 360, PowerPoint, or other course authoring tools to develop eLearning materials
  • Create innovative on-demand eLearning modules (courses, skill profiles, videos, and assessments) that incorporate mixed media, such as graphics, animation, text, audio, and video
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to storyboard and write content that is focused on the correct learning and performance objectives
  • Create knowledge checks / quizzes for learning modules that validate achievement of the learning objectives
  • Develop storyboards, scripts, video and audio files and job aids that meet business specifications and can be supported within the company’s current learning architecture
  • Capture video, using video recording cameras and equipment, utilizing knowledge of training, motion picture, or video recording techniques
  • Work in collaboration with the L&D team to produce a variety of video-based training projects for training courses and training videos
  • Write scripts for training video scenarios, story-based videos and character development
  • Write and concept scripts for various projects in L&D
  • Use storytelling and characters in videos to enhance learning experiences
  • Develop concepts, storyboards, and write script content for various types of videos such as: sales skills, soft skills, story-based scenarios
  • Create the angle, content, and tone according to the needs of the project
  • Participate in post-production tasks to assist the L&D team in completing video projects
  • Review footage, make editorial decisions, video transcoding, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction
  • Manage library of video and production content, providing photos and videos to team as necessary
  • Assist the L&D team in ongoing training program assessment
  • Receive and review feedback from learners on their learning experience.
  • Maintain and refresh training resources to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Conduct reviews of content by SMEs.
  • Troubleshoot eLearning module and LMS platform
  • Work with Workday LMS platform for publishing and organizing course curriculum
  • Occasional travel to local stores and company facilities
  • Up to 75% of time will be dedicated to digital content creation (eLearning Development, Video production, script writing, post-production)
  • Up to 25% of time will be dedicated to instructional design creation, field research and independent development
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college in Media, Journalism, Communications, Graphic Design or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in instructional design. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Office 365 and Zoom.
Position Hiring Range
$66,000.00 - $85,350.00
Retail, Guest Services, and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive a team bonus based on meeting specific monthly goals and KPI’s. Bonus amounts are based on the level of achievement and the total hours worked during the bonus eligible month.
