ROLE:
To assist members and potential members with their telephone requests; explains services, responds to problems, and directs phone calls to the appropriate area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists members and potential members with their telephone requests; answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve; refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations. Processes all incoming and outgoing mail plus pick-up and delivery.
- Identifies cross sell opportunities and cross sells services to members.
- Assures that appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Assists other departments as needed.
- Maintains member account information on computer system.
- To provide accurate, courteous, friendly, timely, and professional phone service to all members and potential members. (To answer telephone immediately. To respond to all correspondence within one day).
- To direct all phone calls to the appropriate person with minimum transfers.
- To process member transactions with zero errors.
- To maintain a professional appearance and atmosphere for the department.
- To successfully recommend a new product or service to all of the members you work with.
- To add to and maintain knowledge of all new policies and procedures to ensure remain compliant with all regulations.
Experience:
One year to three years of similar or related experience.
