    District 214 Community Education's mission is to provide residents of all ages with meaningful experiences, exceptional enrichment programming and personal enjoyment to create memorable and impactful opportunities for lifelong learning.

    The Community Education Lifelong Learning and Instructional Coordinator will work to develop innovative courses and programs to attact new students and participants to the District 214 Community Education programming.


    HOURS: This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.

    SALARY: Regionally competitive salary with benefits.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Oversee execution of classes and program implementation (e.g. logistics, site selection, etc.).
    • Lead coordination with various District departments and schools to ensure effective program operations and comply with District procedures.
    • Increase the program revenue and identify unconventional funding sources.
    • Recruit and retain high-quality instructors and partners and monitor performance.
    • Assist in the development of the program guide and marketing materials including writing course descriptions and creating compelling stories to drive enrollment.
    • Ensure all participants have a quality educational experience.
    • Evaluate instructors and programs, provide instructional support and identify professional development opportunities for staff.
    • Build learning communities to engage stakeholders, both online and in-person.
    • Ensure all course information, logistics, discounts, and other relevant information is entered accurately into the software systems.
    • Problem-solve issues as they arise.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    • Ability to work evening and weekend hours, as needed.
    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • No experience is required.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Good customer service skills.
