Summary

The Commercial Install Helper is responsible in assisting the Commercial Lead Installer in the completion of service, installation, warranty, and PMA work per customer/office request or scheduled contract terms.

Essential Functions

• 
  Responsible for assisting Commercial Lead Installer in preparing for the day by loading all the equipment for scheduled jobs.
• Maintain company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
• Willingness to learn and be teachable
• Actively involved in learning processes in:
  • Commercial and residential service,e installation of condensers, coils, furnaces, package and roof top units, mini split systems, thermostats, high efficiency air filters
  • Installation and/or design of ducts for ventilation purposes.
  • Installation and wiring of High Efficiency systems, zoning, humidifiers, Comfort Guard, and other peripherals.
  • Quality control on layout, cleanliness, sealing the system, and overall install details.
  • Completion of daily assignments/checklist in residential crawl space and attics. Complete required paperwork including daily time/payroll sheets and submit in a timely manner.
  • Available to work occasional Saturdays.
• Participate in all company sponsored training classes.
• Should have EPA certification within the first year of apprenticeship.
• Work in and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• 
  1-2 years experience in the HVAC industry as an apprentice or helper.
• Must be 21 or older.
• Must be able to pass MVR.
• Must possess team spirit, and be able to work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering, and out of doors services.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
• Technical and mechanical competence.
• Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
• Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
• Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
