Client Experience Associate – Job Description

As a Client Experience Associate, your position entails maintaining a positive experience for clients of The Commodore/Parable across multiple touch points. This includes maintaining a clean and hygienic space, greeting clients when they arrive for their appointments, answering phone calls, keeping product shelves and beverage station stocked, and maintaining an efficient check-out process.

This role has the potential of evolving into a hybrid position with commission opportunity in collaboration with Parable Streetwear LLC (a streetwear startup located within The Commodore
Roswell). This would include sneaker/apparel sales, merchandising, social media/creative initiatives and e-commerce fulfillment.

Daily Pre-Opening Procedure

§ Laundry

  • Start laundry from previous day upon arrival to the shop/ transfer load from washer to dryer
  • Use one pod per load
  • Wash cutting capes by themselves to avoid ripping
  • Tri-fold green striped towels
  • Each Barber station to be stocked with 20 green stripped towels
  • Check barber schedule for the day, roll white towels, fill warmers and spray with peppermint oil

§ Surfaces

  • Wipe surfaces of barber stations, reception desk, and beverage station with light soap and water
  • Clean mirrors of barber stations, hand mirrors, and any smudges on front door with

Windex

  • Wipe down chrome pieces and porcelain base of barber chairs with ‘barkeepers friend’

§ Floors

  • Vacuum shop with mighty mite vacuum
  • Clean around base of barber chairs and mats to ensure they are hair-free

§ Beverage Station

  • Clean Jura espresso maker’s water reservoir with boiling hot water from ‘insta-hot’
  • Fill Jura with drinking water
  • Fill Jura with whole coffee beans
  • Stock coffee station items
  • Stock refrigerator with water, soda, beer

Operating Hours Tasks

§ Managing Client Flow

  • Greet clients as they walk in, confirm they have an appointment
  • Invite clients to help themselves to a beverage while they wait
  • Check out each client with the appropriate barber’s employee ID number
  • Answering phones
  • Maintaining cash drawer (should have $200 ‘change’ at all times - $40 in 1’s, $80 in

10’s, $80 in 5’s.)

§ Maintaining Shop Cleanliness

  • Sweeping up hair throughout day
  • Keeping beverage station, reception desk, product shelves free of hair
  • Trash should be taken to dumpster daily at end of day

§ Inventory Management

  • Keep product/dry good shelves stocked
  • Maintain aesthetically clean displays
  • Order product/supplies when inventory is low ( company card will be provided along with relevant contacts and information on product/supplies)

Weekly Deep Cleaning Procedure

§ Floors should be thoroughly cleaned and mopped with ‘Fabuloso’

§ All product should be removed from shelves, and individually dusted/wiped down

§ All shelves should be dusted and cleaned with light soap and water

§ All product should be removed from inside of barber mirror cabinets and cleaned

§ Inside of barber station drawers should be vacuumed out/cleaned

General Terms

The Commodore has established the following general terms of employment to protect its brand and provide a positive experience for its team and its customers:

§ You may take up to 20 working days of personal time off per calendar year, not including team education trips, New Years Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day,
Christmas Eve, and Christmas day. Time off requests must be made in writing 4 weeks in advance (digital communication via text/email will suffice).

§ On days you are scheduled to work, you should take no more than 1 hour of time per day for lunch or personal matters. You must clock out through the Square App for lunch or personal matters.

§ If you “no-call no-show” without extraordinary cause (determined solely by management) your work privileges will be restricted, up to and including termination.

§ Tardiness will negatively affect your ability to schedule hours. You will get a verbal warning on the first offense and a written warning on the 2nd offense, a final warning on the third offense. A 4th offense will be grounds for immediate termination. This warning schedule resets every 12 months.

§ You must maintain hygienic working conditions and personal cleanliness.

§ You are required to adhere to company brand guidelines relating to client experience and interaction. You may not use company logos, name or brand without written consent of management. You must get approval on all brand associated marketing material, including digital mediums.

§ Necessary compensation will be given to client to maintain customer satisfaction at your expense in the event of your error or oversight.

§ Theft of any form will be criminally prosecuted.

§ All of these policies are subject to change, addition or removal by The Commodore without prior notice.

Compensation.

In consideration of your services, you will be paid as follows, subject to all withholdings and deductions as required by law:

§ $16/hr. Starting Wage

- Quarterly assessments of proficiency performing job description with commensurate increases in pay.

§ Commission from sneaker/apparel sales from Parable Streetwear LLC (TBD).
