CDL-CLASS A DRIVER-Great Plains Kubota is looking for a Class A, CDL Driver to pick-up and deliver construction and Ag equipment at our Great Plains-Ada store that sells Agricultural and smaller Kubota construction equipment. This position is mainly a Monday thru Friday position with an occasional Saturday morning. We will hire a dependable, trustworthy, and proficient driver. This position is a key position in our organization, as often the driver is the last Great Plains representative that our customer deals with; customer service and loyalty to the Great Plains mission is a must. If you enjoy people and day-driving and then being home for dinner--this position may be the career that you are looking for. When our Drivers are not driving, they will feel a part of the team and help out where needed at the facility. This position requires the driver to use route navigation and to interact with all customers considerately and professionally. The successful candidate will observe all DOT requirements, including the knowledge of pre-trip and post-trip vehicle walk-around inspections and daily basic maintenance checks. The driver must be comfortable driving in all types of weather, and must be capable of climbing in and out of a truck multiple times daily. S/He must be capable of lifting 70 lbs, and multiple pounds repetitively. Bending and crawling may be required as well. Knowledge about construction equipment and Ag equipment and experience with chaining and tying-down equipment is preferred. Various vehicles will be used, including a smaller Peterbilt with Automatic transmission, a one-ton with up to a 40-foot trailer, as well as trucks and trailers with GVWR less than CDL A weights.
