Today, under the brands Gentle Dental and Smile Keepers, our dental service organization (DSO) provides business support to over 200 practices in eight states including Arizona, California, Hawaii, Kansas, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon and Washington.

Company is based out of Inglewood, CA with a second office in Vancouver, WA and backed by the private equity firm H.I.G. This position is based in Vancouver, WA.

Our current IT function is tactical and reactive. We’re looking for someone who can thrive in this environment but can also evolve the function and team to be strategic and proactive. This is a great opportunity for someone who has successfully lead IT and Helpdesk functions they have inherited, but are now seeking to create their ideal system.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Applications, Infrastructure, Help Desk and Data teams. Evolve our systems and processes in all four areas.
• Successfully develop an IT Helpdesk function from a transactional to a strategic state for two corporate offices, over 200 field offices, and 2,600 employees.
• Responsible for the “Helpdesk team” that provides day-to-day operational services encompassing performance, systems availability, multiple websites, reporting, and analytics, as well as capacity planning.
• This unit provides 24×7 support for the configuration, availability, and deployment of IT assets across the enterprise, including but not limited to:
  • LAN & Desktop systems
  • Analytical tools
  • Salesforce.com platform
  • Back-office systems
• Responsible for creating, promoting, and deploying a strategic, integrated vision for enterprise IT solutions that aligns with the business, operational, and financial objectives of the organization.
• Review, establish, and maintain IT policies, “best practices,” and processes and procedures that are implemented across the enterprise business units.
• Responsible for implementation of consistent data security, access privileges, integrity and privacy standards, and compliance across the enterprise. Direct and evaluate security audits and risk assessments for each business unit’s use of technology.
• Responsible for preparing and managing to the enterprise-wide IT budget; ensuring that expenditures align with the technology roadmap and business plan.
• Commercial orientation and a driver toward business opportunities.
• Establish and cultivate vendor relationships; negotiate vendor contracts and maintenance agreements for enterprise infrastructure components.
• Manage and oversee a Data Intelligence and Data Analytics team.
• Direct and organize all IT-related projects

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an IT Executive or similar managerial role
• Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
• Market knowledge of competitors, suppliers, customer base and regulatory environment
• Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
• Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• A strong strategic and business mindset
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Previous management experience of mid-sized teams
• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, pick, pinch, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motions.
• Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
