The Pace® MN-Corporate Benefits team based in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a motivated individual to join their team, as a Benefits Specialist. A successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional administration of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability. Hybrid Schedule: Employees work in the office Monday through Wednesday and from home on Thursday and Friday.

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Clearly answers questions and effectively communicates benefit information to HR staff and employees using the Corporate Benefits email.
  • Performs benefits administration to include change reporting, processing enrollments, qualifying events, reviewing reports from plan providers to verify accuracy; resolves issues/discrepancies.
  • Human Resource Information System – maintains accurate and up-to-date employee benefit records, assists with the setup of open enrollment. Compiles reports from database as required.
  • Works with broker and vendors to address issues and helps bring them to resolution.
  • Reconciles, balances, and reports claims activity for medical, dental, vision, life, and supplemental insurance monthly; verifies COBRA payments.
  • Performs payroll account reconciliation activities for insurance benefit deductions.
  • Audits and reconciles monthly benefit invoices. Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
  • Current knowledge of employment regulations, industry trends and practices, new developments, and applicable laws.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources administration, or a closely related field; AND two (2) years of professional benefits administration experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

HRIS experience – ADP Workforce Now experience a plus!
