Department

The Digital Business Operations department of CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting (IA&R) is a group of subject matter experts with technology and specialized business process skills supporting internal and external clients in technology use, business process improvement and training. The department has several product teams where the Global IM Product Team is looking for an application analyst.

Position

As an Application Analyst, within the Global IM Product Team, you will first be brought up to speed on the Yardi IM processes. You will work closely with the IM team colleagues and various business stakeholders to drive IM enhancements, ensure adoption of the best practices and provide support to internal and external clients while minimizing service disruptions and facilitating efficient operations.

You will investigate problems with software applications, diagnose root causes, and work on fixing them. The job responsibilities entail the development, integration, and configuration of business applications (mainly Yardi) used across the organization and ensuring that all applications comply with relevant standards and regulations.

The position provides learning opportunities to help you grow to a senior position within the IM team but also other departments within CBRE IA&R and beyond.

Daily responsibilities

As an Application Analyst, you are expected to assist the team with the following items:

  • Business requirements analysis - Analyzes business and user needs. Documents business rules/functional requirements to support system enhancements with minimal guidance.
  • Projects - Contributes to complex implementation of systems application enhancements and tests end-user processes. Able to manage implementation of small to medium complex changes.
  • Business Support - Provides end-user support on Investment management processes executed on the platform. Record and analyze functional incidents, as well as come up with and/or advise on solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management - Interacts with clients, vendors and other stakeholders internal and external, and acting as a liaison between business and technology areas.
  • Issue resolution - Works on applications problems of complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Creates/delivers correspondence, presentations, and other materials for end user training.

Job requirements

CBRE IA&R is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced candidate that meets the following profile:

  • Graduated from higher vocational training or an academic degree in Finance and/or IT;
  • Affinity with Finance/accounting and IT is a must;
  • Affinity with, and an understanding of real estate is a plus;
  • Investment management experience is a plus;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Pragmatic and solution-oriented attitude;
  • Proactive, structured and accurate;
  • Able to work individually and as a team;
  • Eager to learn, curious and willing to ask questions;
  • Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading)
  • Ability to work remotely as part of an international team
