ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FOOD AND BEVERAGE - $1000 sign on bonus*

The DoubleTree Manchester is one of New Hampshire’s premier hotels, located in the heart of downtown Manchester. We have sixty-five thousand square feet of functions and exhibit space, banquet facilities for up to 2,500. We offer our guests dining in The Current Restaurant along with our open, airy Current Lounge. Our Daily Brew serves Starbucks coffee and offers an array of deli items. With 248 beautiful guest rooms.

This position reports to the Director of Food & Beverage and assists with directing and coordinating the operational activities of all food and beverage operations throughout the hotel including restaurant, Daily Brew, and our expansive banquet facilities. The responsibilities of this position are to assist the Director of Food & Beverage in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating all food and beverage operations; maintaining policies and procedures for delivery of superior food and beverage products and service which exceeds the expectations of the guest while maintaining hotel standards; to assist in the marketing efforts for the outlets; selection, hiring, and training of all food and beverage team members.

The requirements of the position are;

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Hotel & Restaurant Management or 5 years of progressive management experience in large, upscale, high-volume environment
• Previous culinary training is a plus
• Solid knowledge of all aspects of food and beverage service and controls
• Excellent management, leadership, organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
• Proven leadership skills in ensuring training, policy compliance and standards of operation
