Assistant Director of Law Career Services & Public Interest Coordinator

Western New England University School of Law seeks applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Law Career Services and Public Interest Coordinator. The Assistant Director of Law Career Services and Public Interest Coordinator of the School of Law is generally responsible for the Career Services activities relating to the students and alumni of Western New England University School of Law. Responsibilities include work in a variety of areas in the Career Services Office including professional development, job placement, application material review, and relevant programing for students and graduates of the School of Law.

Qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school; extremely effective oral and written communications skills; organization and the self-discipline to work independently; and an ability to establish positive professional rapport with diverse constituencies including students, alumni, and representatives from the legal community. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a related field such as public interest law, higher education, or career services who have experience working with students in a higher education setting, particularly students who are from communities historically excluded from the legal profession. All applications should include a letter of interest and a CV.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess exceptional attention to detail, professional verbal and written communication skills, a knowledge of the local legal market, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities.

A J.D. is required.

Ability to establish positive professional rapport with students, alumni, and representatives from the legal community.
