DESCRIPTION OF WORK

You will deliver direct patient care using patient-centered approaches to mentally ill consumers; assist patients in all activities of daily living, which consists of bathing, shampooing, oral hygiene, eating, etc.; escort consumers to on and off ground appointments; and provide nursing care for the consumers with risk of suicide and respond to medical emergencies. You will attend all trainings as directed; report all changes and/or incidents to the charge nurse; document changes and incidents in the consumers' chart; and act as a patient advocate so the rights of the consumers are protected.

  • Hours of work during training: 1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm.
  • Work hours: 2nd shift (3:20pm-11:20pm) and 3rd shift (11:10pm-7:10am).
  • May change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime: As required and subject to emergency call in.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

In compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements, if you are selected for this position, you must show, at the time of hire, verification that you have received either a single-dose COVID-19 vaccination, or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination, unless you are exempt from receiving a COVID-19 vaccination due to an ADA or religious accommodation. If you fail or refuse to show the required verification at the time of hire, and you have not received an exemption from the CMS vaccination requirements, your employment will be terminated.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • No previous experience needed, training provided.
Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
  • This position comes under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act:
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and a drug screening test.
