Overview:
*
Scope of Position: * Under the direction of the Talent Services leadership, this position manages the full life cycle recruitment process for the Foundation. The Advisor, Talent Services develops and implements strategic initiatives for recruitment, provides consultation to hiring managers, manages and maintains the applicant tracking system, and evaluates applicants. With supervision and guidance, the Advisor, Talent Services is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level in the following additional functional areas: selection, recruitment, benefits administration, compensation, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.

Reports to: * Assistant Director, Talent Services
Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements strategic initiatives for recruiting quality talent in a multi-faceted organization based on approved headcount
  • Communicates with managers to establish rapport, gauge morale, provide consultation to help resolve issues, and source new leads
  • Develops, manages, trains, and communicates a consistent interview process for the organization
  • Manages applicant tracking system (iCIMS) by posting approved positions internally and externally while determining effective ways to use the system and track metrics
  • Sources applicants by contacting community services, colleges, career fairs, associations, referrals, online resources, employment agencies, etc.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by screening applications and resumes, interviewing candidates via phone and/or in person, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements
  • Evaluates applicants with managers by discussing qualifications and determining next steps in the interview process
  • Conducts employee background and reference check processes
  • Manages on-boarding processes (e.g., preparing offer letters, sending orientation emails, assisting with new hire paperwork, and answering queries about compensation and benefits)
  • Ensures quality new hire orientation through Win Day and completes Form I-9 eligibility requirements
  • Ensures compliance of all state, federal, and local laws
  • With guidance, develops and implements Human Resources-related strategic initiatives and ensures consistent execution across the Foundation
  • With guidance, manages and leads projects with key WinShape leaders
  • Aware of HR-related current events and assesses action needed based on occurrences
  • With guidance, develops and implements training on all HR-related topics

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 – 4 years staffing and recruitment experience
  • Proven experience of managing the full life cycle recruitment process
  • Works under supervision as identifies HR-related needs of the Foundation, develops action plans, and executes on plan
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Has the ability to manage ambiguity well
  • Has the ability to adapt and be flexible and not be emotionally triggered by unexpected outcomes
  • Takes action to stay aware of current legislative issues and determines needed action
  • Ensures compliance of state and federal employment laws
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information
  • Strong relational and presentation skills
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
