Brookshire Post Acute is looking to expand their team!
Now hiring an Activities Assistant.
- Full Time - Saturday, Sunday, 2 weekdays 9am - 5pm, and one weekday evening shift from 11 am to 7 pm.
Job Duties:
Create and lead activities for patients, engage patients in meaningful programs, work as a Team with the Activities Department. Must be comfortable driving facility van.
Driver requirements:
Must have training and be able to return demonstrate safe clinical based transfer techniques for:
- Ingress Egress of Mobile Patients with Van
- Transfer of patients into and out of Wheelchair
- Properly securing WC bound residents into bays in Vans
- Must be able to lift transfer and mobilize patient weights of up to 70 pounds by self in confined areas inside Van.
- Must be able to make complex decisions involving highly dependent patient base.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED
- Minimum - 25 years old
- Must have a valid DL
- Must be familiar with GPS and local driving area
- No Traffic Crimes in the last 7 years (DUI, DWS, Reckless Driving). no Traffic Felonies (Multiple DUI, or DWS, Leaving Scene with Injuries, Assault with Vehicle) Not more than 2 moving violations in 3 years Not more than one accident in 3 years
- Pass a drug screen and background check
