The Island Water Association – Accounting Coordinator

Salary Range: $56,950 - $93,000

The Island Water Association, a member-owned water utility serving the islands of Sanibel and Captiva, Florida, is now accepting applications for the Accounting Coordinator position. Successful candidates will have experience in the preparation of month-end closings/financial statements, delivery of payroll (including 401(k) contributions, federal and state tax reporting, and worker compensation reporting), reconciling bank statements, processing customer payments, performing year end payroll, financial accounting, and annual tasks for the preparation of budget and audit.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and responsible. The position requires the ability to accurately perform diverse accounting functions and appropriately handle confidential information. Proficiency using Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word and Excel is required. Experience with payroll, accounting, and billing software is required.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of an associate degree in accounting and two-years of relevant work experience. Pre-employment physical, background and credit check, and drug screening required.
