GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Accounting/AP Assistant should be proficient in general accounting skills. He/she will be detail-oriented, well-organized, dependable and open and eager to learn new things. The ideal candidate will enjoy problem-solving and should work well with others. The goal of our finance team is to meet the financial accounting requirements of our growing bank. Oversight of all General Ledger and internal accounts is our primary function.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB
- Assists in inputting invoices into accounts payable system in a timely manner.
- Assists in issuing biweekly AP checks.
- Monitors daily public fund balances.
- Assists Accounting VP with accounting spreadsheets daily and weekly.
- Assists in preparing any necessary spreadsheets or reports as needed by Accounting Department and Management.

- Assists the Internal Auditor with requested information as needed.
- Assists management with special projects.
- Performs any other duties as required or assigned by Management.
- Performs daily, monthly, or quarterly reconciliations, as needed
