The Account Manager is responsible for managing and creating strategic initiatives to promote our mission and educate key stakeholders on the features and benefits of our residential services. Responsible for developing and maintaining community relationships with current and future referral sources across multiple states. The Account Manager is responsible for the development of the facilities census through direct referral source interaction in an effort to facilitate access to services When necessary, may assist with obtaining information, medical records etc. from the referral source to ensure eligibility and to help the residential team evaluate for level of care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, the Account Manager must be able to perform each of these essential duties satisfactorily.   • Coordinate and maintain up to date information on market area and competitors.
  • Communicate and educate patients, families and consumers on programs and services.
  • Serve as professional liaison for the company in marketing matters with the outside community.
  • Work with local community agencies to generate a positive image and encourage referral activities
  • Establish weekly contacts with assigned company facilities, including the administrative, intake and medical staff in order to facilitate strategic marketing.Daily contact with potential referral sources including but not limited to local and state agencies, hospitals, physicians, acute psychiatric hospitals, community organizations and care managers/trust officers.
  • Coordinate referral, assessment and admission process with appropriate staff.
  • May occasionally help facilitate referral paperwork and communicate with nursing ad administration.
  • Complete weekly and monthly statistical reporting, providing analysis where appropriate. Utilize company database (HCS) to document daily contacts/calls and maintain records on referral source information.
  • Utilize a strong working knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products and services in a professional, persuasive and diplomatic manner.
  • Utilize a strong working knowledge to identify trends and respond quickly to keep our company market competitive.
  • Utilize a strong working knowledge of current news, research, and market information that directly affects the company’s products and services.
  • Actively participate in the development of facility specific business plans to improve a healthy milieu while growing census at each assigned facility.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and support of the company’s mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and code of conduct.


Experience

Required
  • 2 year(s): Experience with sales and networking with healthcare referral sources required. Behavioral Health experience preferred.
Preferred
  • Experience in national sales/marketing a plus.
