Immediate need for Wind Turbine Maintenance Technicians with experience and training on Vestas 3.X, 4.X or Gamesa Family 3 wind generator platforms (WTG)

As a Wind Turbine Service Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible to service newly operational Siemens G145 wind turbine generators:

• Travel to and work at wind farms in Alberta CAN, Texas US or Midwest US
• Assist other wind maintenance technicians, while under the supervision of lead techs
• Stop, LOTO and startup of WTGs
• May be authorized to perform specific tasks independently or under supervision
  
• Work performed may include:
  • Torquing and tensioning
  • Break-in, quarterly (500 hr), 6-month and annual wind turbine maintenance without supervision
  • Unscheduled maintenance
  • Defective parts removal and replacement using proper work instructions
  • Large component replacement, retrofits, troubleshooting and other special assignments
• May lead small teams in work performed
• Continue to develop and expand wind maintenance skillset through on-the-job training and train others in performing service work
• Work safely, competently and productively under the direction of others
• Keep records, maintain documentation and report technical and safety issues

Must meet the following requirements, have or obtain the listed required certifications and training (may be provided) including, but not limited to:

• Must have 2+ years of successful experience performing Wind Turbine Maintenance Work on Siemens Gamesa G114, G126, G132, SG145 or Vestas 3.X or 4.X wind turbines
• US or Canada citizen or eligible to travel to and work in US and/or Canada for extended periods of time (valid passport preferred)
• Ability to work an 8 week on, 1 week off rotation
• Physically able to safely climb wind turbines up to 90m+ (300+ feet), stand, stoop, walk, crawl, crouch, stoop and generally meet the physical demands of the position.
• Must have strong experience doing torquing and tensioning
• Must have experience using a grease gun, doing filter changes, using ERAD system, doing torquing and tensioning and similar service
  
• Valid and current driving license with a satisfactory driving record
• Must be 21 years of age to be able to drive a company vehicle
• Must be able to proficiently read, write and speak English
• Satisfactory criminal background check
• GWO BST (Basic Safety Training) - fire awareness, working at heights, manual handling, first aid
• GWO BTT (Basic Technical Training) - electrical, hydraulic, mechanical
• OSHA 10 General Industry
• Applicable Siemens Gamesa Technical eLearning
• Crane, Chain Hoist and Rigging Safety Training
• NFPA 70E Arc-Flash Awareness
• Prefer training or experience with Touchscreen Controller Hand Terminals
