Eaton’s Aerospace sector, Fluid and Electrical Distribution division, is currently seeking a Flex Welder to join our team on 1st Shift. This position is based at our Beltsville, MD facility.


Position Core Hours: 7AM-3PM

In this function you will:

  • Ability to shear and weld from sheet or foil stock within tight tolerances.
  • Ability to safely perform testing of components using high air pressure or water under pressure (ATP)
  • Perform pressure testing procedures
  • Read blueprints and in accordance with standard shop practices.
  • Ensure quality of parts through visual inspection and physical measurement using a wide variety of hand tools and gages.
  • Work in accordance with general safety rules and practices.
  • Keeps immediate work area clean and free from hazards.
  • Responsible for finished parts conformity to print or specification.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes.
  • Must be a team player and be able to multi-task.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by TL, Supervisor

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Gas Tungsten Arc welding on Inconel and/or Stainless with thickness ranging from .020 to .125 or completion of welding degree/certification
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beltsville, MD will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with belt sander, planishing machine, shear machine and hand held inspection tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, pi tape, loops, etc.).
  • Prior TIG welding experience in aerospace manufacturing environment
