SCOPE OF POSITION:

Responsible for keeping the warehouse and food pantry stocked, clean and organized and for assisting clients as needed. They will be required to keep inventory of all food supplies to assist with all reporting requirements


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist clients when they receive food supplies from the pantry
  • Assist with purchase of food and warehouse supplies
  • Assist with unloading of food supplies when they are delivered to the pantry
  • Ensure the warehouse and food pantry is clean and kept free of clutter
  • Keep inventory of common supplies needed at Food Bank (i.e. Food supplies, packaging supplies, other supplies needed to do bag prep and sorting)
  • Driving responsibility includes outreaches to clients affected by the COVID pandemic, purchase of warehouse supplies and other duties as required by the Client Choice Intake Worker
  • Assist the Client Choice Intake Worker with reports as needed
  • Must be familiar with the FIFO process (First in First out) to identify and properly dispose expired items.
  • Help with seasonal duties as needed

  • Must complete and adhere to Protecting the Mission requirements and guidelines, including the ability to pass a TSA background check
  • Must have computer skills and able to negotiate various computer programs (I.e. Word, Publisher, Excel, Citrix)
  • Must have a valid State Driver’s license and ability to pass TSA MVR check and in-house driving test

  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead
  • Ability to operate telephone
  • Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to access and produce information from a computer
  • Ability to understand written information
