Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary:
Lead and direct activities for all Warehousing and internal transportation functions in receiving, stores,
parts distribution, facility layout, lean process flow, kitting, transportation, and employee training.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervise bargaining unit employees in the receipt and storing of material and supplies into the
Warehouse and the distribution of material, parts, assemblies and finished goods from the
Warehouse.
  • Ensure support of Manufacturing through proper handling of materials, equipment, supplies,
and tools.
  • Coordinates closely with Customer Service, Manufacturing & Assembly, Material Planning, and
Master Production Scheduler to ensure all production and non-production items are properly
and efficiently processed to their destination.
  • Develop and maintain departmental training records.
  • Be an effective leader that supports the effort to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and
Productivity commitments.
  • Serve as an example to meet company values on Integrity, Trust, Respect and Empowerment.
  • Adherence to the Union Labor Agreement as it pertains to the supervision of the bargaining unit
employees in the Warehouse and Receiving Areas.
  • Implementation and improvement of Warehouse procedures for controlling material for
assemblies and finished goods.
  • Scheduling and distribution of the daily cycle count for completion by bargaining unit.
  • Determine root cause of cycle count discrepancies, coordinate corrective action, and make
timely adjustments to inventory.
  • Act as a backup for the Shipping Supervisor as required.
Outcomes:
  • All work will be performed in a safe manner. All safety issues will be reported immediately, and
corrective actions taken.
  • Ensure that all material is handled / stored / transported and delivered correctly.
  • Delivery of parts will be completed in time to support production schedules.
  • Inventory audit accuracy - minimum accuracy of 95%.
  • All procedures will be followed to ensure compliance in all aspects of
warehousing/transportation duties.
  • Pass all internal and external audits including meeting cycle count requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years parts or inventory management
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of Oracle, MRP/MPS
