Warehouse Associate

Summary

Position responsible for assisting in the equipment loading and unloading processes both at the job sites and warehouses. You will be required to keep the warehouse and yard clean of debris and organized according to Gorman Roofing standards. You will also be responsible for assisting in the installation, repair, or clean-up of roofs and job sites on commercial and residential structures when needed. You will work as part of a team under the direction of a branch manager (or superintendent/foreman as needed). Critical job duties include ensuring you are working safely and according to Gorman Roofing’s safety procedures.

This position reports directly to a Branch Manager, with a dotted line to a Superintendent/Foreman as needed.

This position is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate Class IV, V & VII Forklifts.
• Maintain warehouse/yard cleanliness, organization, & keep inventory on tools and materials.
• Pick up materials from suppliers and deliver to job sites.
• Pick up and deliver tools and equipment to and from job sites.
• Pick up and deliver tools and equipment for service.
• Pick up surplus materials from job sites and return to suppliers/warehouses at the end of the project
• Clean staging area after completion of projects.
• Drive Class B Truck to and from job sites.
• Clean job area of trash, debris at job sites.
• Cover vehicles with plastic sheeting in preparation for polyurethane foam crew
• Ability to work on uneven and steep sloped surfaces
• Operate company truck to and from job site
• Drive truck and trailer to landfill/ transfer station
• Additional duties as required by supervisor(s)

Experience/Qualifications/Education Preferences

• High school diploma/GED
• Knowledge of roofing materials, tools and equipment.
• Valid Class B driver's license and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in an environment where there may be regular exposure to noise, odors, fumes, temperature fluctuations and other conditions associated with the roofing industries. Lift minimum of 50 lbs., standing for long periods of time. Vision abilities include: distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral. Also, the ability to adjust focus. Regular use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
