Summary:

Milan is looking for a VP of Talent. This individual will be responsible for leading the overall Talent strategy for Milan. Collaborating across the organization, this position is responsible for leading Milan’s talent management strategy, programs and processes, including: Talent Acquisition, Succession Planning, Career Pathing, Performance Management and Leadership Development.

Talent Acquisition Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Milan leaders to define and establish a long term successful strategic talent planning process identifying mission critical roles, determining talent gaps, assessing internal as well as external talent pools and developing long term plans to bridge gaps.
  • Provide direction for recruiting efforts, creating and implementing efficient and effective talent acquisition strategies across all levels to improve quality and speed in recruitment activities.
  • Maintain talent market expertise, including a comprehensive view of industry trends, and educate the team and clients/stakeholders.
  • Establish, understand, monitor, and report out on meaningful key metrics and measurements for driving the TA agenda.
  • Develop strategic business drivers, organizational vision, and key operating effectiveness for delivering critical, integrated talent strategies.
  • Partner with the People Operations, Total Rewards, Marketing and Learning & Development teams to ensure the organization can attract, motivate, develop, and retain great talent.
  • Continually improve a data-driven approach to identify and solve pain points within the candidate funnel and journey.
  • Be a strategic advisor to leaders as you collectively devise and deploy diverse talent strategies.

Talent Management Responsibilities:

  • Execute the Succession & Development Planning program focusing on key roles throughout the organization including the development of talent pipelines.
  • Enhance and maintain the functional competency model, ensuring all roles at Milan have defined competencies tied to business objectives and employee development.
  • Partner with the CHRO and business leaders to develop and execute organizational development and design strategies, including diversity initiatives.
  • Review gaps in leadership capability across departments and develop action plans accordingly; manage professional and leadership development programs with the organization in partnership with the Director of Training & Development.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, organizational development, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
  • 10+ years of combined Talent Management and/or Talent Acquisition experience and prior leadership experience, preferably in a growing retail environment.
  • Demonstrated capability of designing a succession planning program design & development
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to synthesize information and present to audiences at all levels
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with internal and external customers including Executive leaders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills for multitasking and prioritizing workloads
  • SPHR preferred
