The VP of Supply Chain is a key member of the senior leadership team and will be onsite in our RI facility. This position will have full-scope responsibility for the organization’s supply chain and functions and will set a strategic vision and direction of the company. The qualified candidate is responsible for establishing policies and programs that drive company performance, growth, and profitability, and promote company culture. This is an integral leadership role responsible for producing high-quality, cost-effective, on-time products.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
VP of Supply Chain reports to the President and CEO.

VP of Supply Chain Responsibilities
  • Analysis of broad and complex issues and the formulation and execution
of strategies to ensure that deadlines and priorities for product
delivery to customers are met in a cost-effective manner.
  • Advocate of cost reduction effort and quality improvement via product,
manufacturing process & supply chain improvements within the company.
  • Maintain full alignment between shop orders, schedule,
manufacturing, and packaging activity.
  • Direct employees and maintain full control of the incoming and
outgoing material/finish goods within two warehouse locations
  • Key contributor to new business develop efforts by supporting new/potential customer
site visits and assisting in the development of new/potential product cost models.
  • Ensures targets are met. Develop and measure appropriate
metrics that support company goals and operations.
  • Aid the quality assurance department during routine and non-routine inspections
of the facility by FDA, EPA, DEA, other regulatory groups, and/or customers.
  • Anticipate future company needs and initiate the development and implementation of new approaches to support same.
  • Direct, monitor, and evaluate staff. Assign tasks as required.
  • Manage and develop direct reports through counseling, performance reviews, and providing training opportunities based on company policies and departmental objectives.
  • Establish, track and control departmental budgets, goals, and objectives.
  • Assist in the investigation and completion of the corrective and preventive action systems (CAPA) as applicable.
  • Develop and implement approved annual expense and capital budgets for the department.
  • Establish, track, and control departmental budgets and developmental timelines.

VP of Supply Chain Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related science or engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 10 yrs. operations experience in a cGMP
facility preferably in a contract environment.
  • Proven work record to include the ability to perform all the following:
» Manage multiple projects in a time sensitive environment.
» Working knowledge of cGMP, and Quality System Regulations.
» Best manufacturing and packaging practices
» Complete projects on time and within proposed budget.
» Motivate and manage subordinates in an efficient manner.
» Excellent team leader skills.
» Problem solving in a time sensitive environment.
» Ability to interface with all levels within the organization.
» Ability to train all levels within the organization.
» Good communication and interpersonal skills.
» Proven analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
» Good written and oral skills.
