The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The Vice President of Information Security is responsible for establishing and maintaining the information security program with a critical role in ensuring the security and operational excellence of National Debt Relief and related companies. The VP of Information Security manages all aspects of NDR’s Information Security strategy and program, ensuring the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of NDR’s data and client data entrusted to the organization. This role will work closely with the executive leadership team to determine the risk tolerance for the organizations and partner with the technology teams to implement practices that meet agreed upon policies and standards.
- Responsible for the leadership of the company’s Information Security program
- Develop and lead a comprehensive information security risk-based program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of assets
- Develop department goals, define security strategies, metrics and Information Security roadmap in support of business goals
- Create and maintain security policies to minimize potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Interact with business teams to ensure the consistent application of policies and standards across all technology projects, systems and services
- Partner with business stakeholders to raise awareness of risk management concerns
- Establish a process for incident management to effectively identify, respond, contain and communicate a suspect or confirmed incident
- Partner with business leadership and technology teams to remediate security flaws in infrastructure, system design and application security
- Establish and ensure execution of business continuity and disaster recovery plans with business stakeholders
- Identify current and emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, vulnerabilities and regulatory changes affecting the company
- Create and manage information security and risk management awareness training for employees
- Implement solutions to assist in detection, prevention and analysis of security threats; perform proof of concepts and vendor comparisons, offer solutions aligned with business requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering related discipline or equivalent experience
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred
- 15+ years of progressive work experience in IT or Information Security, including at least 5 years in a senior management level position
- Proven hands-on experience in designing, building and operating security programs in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of security related industry standards, regulations and frameworks such as PCI, CCPA/CPRA, ISO/IEC27001, ISO/IEC27002 and NIST
- Deep understanding of security architecture methodologies with demonstrated experiencing in deploying information security tools (Identity and Access Management, MFA, DLP, ATP, MDM, SIEM)
- Enterprise incident handling experience in developing and leading a CSIRT
- Experience with contract and vendor negotiations and management
- Deep, hands-on understanding of the current cyber threat landscape, attack methodologies, and risk mitigation and remediation methods
