Overview of the Vice President of Marketing

Location: Tampa, Florida

We are seeking a Vice President of Marketing, who will have responsibility for and full ownership of the marketing functions and is accountable for B2B, B2C and Retailer campaigns, across strategies around new customer acquisitions, retention and cross / up-selling. The ideal candidate will be required to think strategically, work design through implementation, lead his/her team, while being detailed oriented and willing to dive into the details to ensure flawless execution. They will be skilled in digital technology, with significant experience in creating new, organic top of the funnel demand through social media and digital platforms. The roles responsibilities will be North America focused, with an internal team supported by external agencies.
Responsibilities:
  • Leadership of team overseeing company digital and technology platforms, including websites, email, content, SEO and social media.
  • Leadership of team overseeing the design, content and messaging for internal / external collateral, video, and print media.
  • Responsible for achieving marketing sourced new customer acquisition targets. As well as managing relationships, develop launch plans and go to market strategies / execution around re-sale product lines.
  • Develop the annual marketing plan, recommended tactics, budgets and resource planning. Track progress vs. expectations and adjust as needed to deliver goals.
  • Management of all marketing agencies and partnerships.
  • Experience working with limited resources and budget and being able to think outside of the box to create highly effective campaigns. Prioritize marketing projects and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Ensures effective communication between direct and indirect reports.
  • Ensure effective relationships with Sales Teams, Operations Management, Marketing, HR, Finance and other support functions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant corporate policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • BA degree in Business (Marketing concentration preferred).
  • Must have 10-12 years of business experience with a minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible Marketing management experience.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills to develop and lead high performance function as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in overseeing external agency relationships, including budget oversight and a proven track record of on-time and on-cost delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of new customer acquisition (B2B & B2C).
  • Ability to identify opportunities, make recommendations and support with logic rationale.
  • Ability to pay strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage change effectively.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, data input, etc.)
  • Ability to travel in support of company initiatives.
