River Edge is looking to fill the position of
Transportation Associate with/at our
Fulton County - Boulevard location. This alternative center provides community-based mental health service for citizens of the Greater Fulton area that would not have access to care. The Transportation Associate, under supervision of the Director of Fulton County Services, will transport passengers in an assigned geographical area traveling by van and transmits, receives, and relays radio communication to remote office base stations and mobile units.
In this role you will:
- Safely drive established routes to pick-up uninsured individuals who, hence, cannot access Medicaid-funded transportation to transport them to treatment appointments and return them to their homes post-appointments.
- Appropriately assist individuals with ambulation challenges to enter and exit the van.
- Transport individuals needing medical clearance for potential referral for psychiatric stabilization as assigned.
- Interact with individuals served with respect and kindness and in ways that instill hope and encourage treatment engagement and recovery.
- Perform non-violent crisis intervention, pre training, as required.
You will need:
- HS diploma/GED.
- Valid Class C Driver's license.
- Acceptable driving record/background check.
- Must pass a drug screen.
- Fully Covid-19 vaccinated.
- Acceptable references.
- Ability to pass a Basic CPR and First Aid.
