Job Title: Emergency Department Nurse

Location: Rochester, NY (USA)

Salary: $3400-3700 per week

Job Summary:

Our healthcare facility is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Department Nurse to join our team in Rochester, NY. The Emergency Department Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients presenting to the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will have excellent critical thinking skills, a strong focus on patient care, and a commitment to meeting the needs of patients and their families.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assess and prioritize the needs of patients presenting to the Emergency Department

- Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician

- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses to care

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide high-quality, efficient patient care

- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and discharge instructions

- Remain up-to-date with current research and evidence-based practice in emergency nursing care

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in the Emergency Department

- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

- Advocate for patients and their families to ensure that their needs are being met

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution

- Current nursing licensure in the state of New York

- Two years of experience working as an emergency department nurse

- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with changing priorities

- Excellent clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
