The Transportation Coordinator II is responsible for managing various functions within the Division of Transportation, for contracted operations to ensure the effective administration of services?.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Account Management
- Manages student transportation account for assigned school District (Daily Route or Athletic and Field Trips).
- Coordinates all student data of assigned school District:
Collecting all coordinated student transported requests, entering the data into transportation software, ensures routing/ scheduling of students is complete in timely manner.
- Manages transportation vendors assigned to routes for assigned District.
- Acts as liaison between ERESC and assigned District.
- Keeps District consistently updated with updates, changes, timelines, etc.
- Manages route/vendor complaints for assigned District.
- Responsible for documenting, logging, and issuing appropriate penalties to vendors when warranted.
- Ensures assigned District’s routes are completed and BID when required.
- Continuously verifies student data in transportation software.
- Maintains proper documentation for contracted routes.
- Updates transportation software and Board Agenda with coordinated transportation needs.
- If assigned to Athletic and Field Trip needs –monthly billing verification.
- Collaborate with the Business Office to resolve billing issues with transportation coordination.
- Evaluates routes to propose potential opportunities for Districts to share routes.
- Prepares and runs requested reports as assigned.
- Prepares emails, data sheets and other communications as needed.
- Tracks parent, school, contractor and district complaints.
- Attends on-site and off-site meetings and workshops pertaining to assigned District (may be asked to assist in other areas).
- Performs all other duties assigned by the leadership of the Division of Transportation and the Business Administrator .

Compliance/Customer Service
- Manages customer service representative
- Understands all assigned roles within department for escalation
- Manages monitoring – scheduling’s and follow-ups
- Schedules lot inspections
- Logs monitoring to catch repeat offenders
- Issues/processes penalties
- Vendor Insurance management
- Executes Annual Certification of School Bus Drivers & Aides
- Executes ALL Vendor Contracts
- Executes Agreement Contracts
- Tracks vendor’s insurances
- Schedules lot inspections
- Reviews monitoring log to depict trends for corrective action
- Issues/ executes penalties
- Updates contractor’s list
- Researches vendors to increase partnership with reliable vendors

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Student transportation experience preferred
- Bus Routing Data systems experience preferred
- Knowledgeable in Transfinder software preferred
- Experienced with student transportation laws preferred
- Computer skills proficient in Microsoft Software (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- High School Diploma (preferably some higher education experience)
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License and Automobile
- Bilingual preferred
- Required criminal history background check
- Team player is a must
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external parties
- Solution oriented attitude
- Problem solver

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
