GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the EDCT - Economic Dev & Corp department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.

  • Direct, market, and lead the Quick Jobs Program, and assist in the promotion of EDCT Programs to ensure program growth, development, and effectiveness. Work closely with the Director of Sales to coordinate external events, open houses, conference participation and grow business development in the community.
  • Provide detailed information to students regarding career planning, program pathways, and college registration/enrollment procedures. Act as a liaison between students and GTC student services (financial aid, admissions, etc.) in order to transition students to workforce development programs.
  • Actively market/promote and manage the Quick Jobs program to ensure continued program growth and evaluate program effectiveness. Maintain contacts and relationships with Workforce Development Organizations.
  • Call on existing and perspective employers and develop strong relationships. Work with clients to identify training/education needs and expected outcomes. Involve the appropriate department heads in proposal development.
  • Participate in orientation sessions and other student recruitment initiatives including, but not limited to, open houses, industry meetings, job fairs, or other college-sponsored events to maintain active connections to employers and community organizations to assist in student recruitment.
  • Develop and execute a case-management approach for working with non-traditional students while addressing academic and socio-economic barriers to allow pursuit of post-secondary education of workforce development certificate. Assist students with connections/referrals to campus and community resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree and related training development program experience.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Individual will have a thorough understanding of GTC academic and non-credit programs. The ability to work with a diverse population; identify individual and corporate educational and career goals and provide solutions. Excellent verbal and written skills. Familiarity with business community, local agencies and the educational system. Excellent time management, problem solving and interpersonal skills. A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
