Trailer Mechanic
– Intermodal
(Memphis, TN)
Pay: Up to $25 hourly
Summary: Trailer Mechanics are charged with repairing containers, trailers, and chassis. Repair & replacement work includes but is not limited to, containers, lights, tires, landing legs, brakes, and framework.

Trailer Mechanic
– Intermodal Qualifications
:
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Must comply with established safety rules, policies, and procedures, including wearing required safety equipment
- Open availability (24/7/365)
- Minimum of 1-year of mechanic experience
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
- Trailer Mechanic must have basic set of hand tools
- Ability to lift more than 50lbs
- Ability to pass pre-employment background screen, physical and drug screen
Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:
- The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a trailer.
- Suspension repair
- Tank service and repair
- Knowledge of air brake systems and repairs
- A working knowledge A.B.S. systems
Physical Demands:
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, balancing while walking on elevated catwalks, bending, and grasping.
- With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
