Primary Objective of Position: A Test Lab Technician performs standard testing processes on a variety of equipment and records and analyzes results, records data from testing in standard formats, and provides results to product and engineering teams. Testing Technician’s assists technical teams with recommendations to solve testing problems, roadblocks, or equipment malfunctions that impact the performance or validity of testing. Requires knowledge of industry-specific tests and testing equipment. Additionally, Testing Technician’s typically requires an associate degree or equivalent experience. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Testing Technician gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline and works under moderate to low levels of supervision.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Inspect components before assembly.
• Test trial products during development.

• Record testing data and analyze results to determine whether products meet quality standards.
• Maintain testing methods and equipment.
• Assemble and calibrate testing equipment.
• Use testing data to recommend improvements to the production process.
