Job description
Bering Global Solutions, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Technical Writer for a software development contract in Suiltland, MD.
Responsibilities:- Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality.
- Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation
- Develop product manuals, how-to guides, website help sections, journal articles, and other content that distills technical information with ease and clarity.
- Three years’ experience as customer support and/or help desk representative
- Three years’ experience in developing, and organizing manuals and technical specifications
- Three years’ experience as Technical Writer or similar role
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work history
- Develop/Maintain technical documentation
- Work well in team setting.
- Develop/Maintain Project documentation

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

- No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
